Thoughts on Britain's Nuclear Deterrent

Last July, Trident was debated in Parliament.

With many people advocating unilateral or multilateral dusarmament, we have to ask "What would the world be like without nuclear weapons?" and "What deterrent would be put in its place?" Could it be worse?
